I worked very briefly at Foyles back in about 1987. I believe they've come a long way since then:)
(That's about as subtle as I can get.)
Nice piccy though PB! And how lovely to get to sign your book in London; it must have been a dream come true.
Good going with the subtlety Mrs T!
I couldn't get over how they'd changed since the late seventies. It used to have a warehouse feel about it, although I used to enjoy being lost amongst its pile of books all the same - so many books - and was a fan of Blackwells for similar reasons. Was certainly stunned by the transformation it's undertaken. It's an excellent bookshop these days in every sense, and has a wonderful taste in its Recommended Reads section. :-)
Arh dream days coming to life! Hope you get more of those with your next front window blockbuster!
Hear, hear! Cheers, Mike. And here's wishing you (and your many projects) every sucess too.
Nice pic, Paul. You must have been buzzing seeing your book on show. long may it continue!
