Here's a bit of a plug for my talented partner, Siân Burman, who is exhibiting several of her recent works at Blarney Books Art Gallery in Port Fairy at the moment: acrylics, oils and mixed medium collages. It's been a busy house of late. She's also been blog-building recently, and some of her work can be seen in a little more detail over at her blog spot.

This is not fair! Sian is creative too! My Dear Mr T prefers ironing and drinking beer...although he does "create" some interesting DIY at times....
Yes, a very talented household! Sian must be buzzing seeing her work on display. One of my friends is an artist, and when I went to see his exhibition i was blown away. Amazing to see someone you know in this sort of light.
Books in front of shop, paintings on walls, you both must be on a high.
I know we don't do this side of things to make cash, but has Sian ever thought of selling prints of her work online? My friend sells a selection of prints, some for only fifteen pounds and he's made enough to buy his own print gear and is making a nice tidy sum each week. And of course, it gets your work out there even more. Just a thought!
Interesting thought, Gary. She's done a little printing, but, like all of us, is trying to find the time to take on more projects at the moment. Maybe I'll have to convert one of the garages into a printing shed!
Mrs T, I have to do the ironing and beer drinking and DIY stuff, as well as write. It's hard life being married to a painter ... although she does cut the lawn and keep the treacle mine running pretty smoothly.
