Sadly, can't be with you for the party, but will drink to you this evening.

Paul, I'm ordering your book and for what my reviews are worth, plan to post a review soon on newcritics (even if they're not that into books); Metaxu; cre8buzz, and possibly The Blue Ribbon Bloggers.
My husband has an account with
Amazon and will put up a few good words there.
Meanwhile, major congrats!

Amazing stuff. You're a published author of novels now, Paul. In the premier league. Champions league! No one can ever say otherwise! Best of luck I hope the sales go through the roof.

Jon, Mike, Kathleen, Gary, Jane---thank you one and all. Cheers, salut, stin ijiasas, prost, skal, slainte, iechyd da... thanks for helping me toast the book on its way. Thanks also for buying a copy or two. Your comments and kinds words are appreciated.

I can't quite believe it's actually on the shelves so if anyone happens to have a camera to hand when walking past Borders, Waterstones or when it arrives in the post...

Actually, that's not a bad idea for a blog post. Maybe I could collect pics from different parts of the world. Hmmm.

Anyway, thanks again. Have a good weekend and, if you've got a copy already, I hope you enjoy it.

Congratulations Paul!! We have been celebrating your success down Portland way, and sending you and Sian some much-deserved love and appreciation, xxoo.
I will contribute to your search for photos of the book when our order arrives.

You're a gem, Joe. Ta very much. And a big thanks to all the Portland crew. Some Portland pics would be great for the blog gallery---or does this become a phlog? (The idea is growing on me!)

And what a surprise, Jane! One of the best. It made my day. Absolutely. (In fact, I was back to bouncing off the ceiling after reading it!) Thanks so much.

Paul:

Congratulations! It's the ultimate reward for all of the sweat you squeezed out on those late nights when the rest of us were sawing logs.

Happy trails.

Thanks, Swubird, and thanks, Madison. Everything's pleasantly hectic at the moment, but will settle down pretty soon, I guess. :-)
