.........BLOG..........................WEBSITE..........................REVIEWS.......

Welcome

Welcome to the new blog. I thought it was time for a more dynamic site, with the opportunity to include additional pages, and where I could maintain a series of links instead of having to bounce these back from the website. So here it is. A new roost.

And timely, given the massive changes that have taken place on the PaperBooks website.

Have been looking for a follow-on to the Thunderbirds opening sequence, and had fun at YouTube revisiting some old favourites (Fireball XL5, Stingray, The Saint and a heap more), but decided to stick with the bird image for the moment. Just in case anyone gets to feeling too cosy!

Welcome.

Neat theme Paul. Like the gray background.

Welcome, Ms Cris. If there was a prize for being the first to visit and comment, you'd be a winner. Congratulations. Am glad you like the theme. I saw an interesting 'Black and white' toned site a couple of years back, and wanted something similar, with splashes of colour.

Paul:

Nice look on your new site. Easy on the eyes.

I loved the video. Of course, I was around when the original appeared at the theaters. Who knew it would become a classic?

Happy trails.

Thanks for taking a look, Swubird. I remember being pretty scared as a kid when I watched The Birds on TV, but I must revisit it sometime soon because it is, as you say, a classic. I believe there may have been a remake, but need to to check this out.

There you are! I was getting a bit lonely in cyber-where ever I've been. I've no place to hang me cyber hat!! Site looks great, Paul. You and I are leading parallel lives at the minute. My new site is getting there, but I'm such a donkey I'm needing more help with it. Never mind, exciting stuff, new blog sites, only weeks to go before your book hits the shelves, interviews, can't be bad. Hope they make a little room for us authors on the new website, though.

Too right, Gary. Feel like I've been doing a Major Tom drifting around in space, but hopefully that'll get fixed up soon. Things are moving at a fast pace at PaperBooks at the moment. Am looking forward to seeing your site, and just adding a couple of weeks to my deadline until I can get hold of a copy of 'Fat Tuesday'. The cover work still looks great several months on. Catchy and compelling.

Yes, I was going to pre-order the snowing and greening, but thought better of it. I'm going into town on the 30th to pick a 'live' copy up. And of course to turn a few covers face out over. Every little helps. If I catch any sightings of it in great displays I'll take a picture and stick em up on the old blog. I'm so excited about mine and it's 7 weeks away, god knows how you're feeling!

Looks great Paul - All neat and tidy ready for your book launch! Are you feathering the nest by building this new blog like an expectant mother getting ready for her newborn?

Gary, a picture would be great and very appreciated. Ta.

Mike, there was something prompting this and you may be right: it's a bit like redecorating the nursery, isn't it.
