I'd rather you read my books than read my blog, but do both and I'll pour a drink or two, raise my glass to you...

Earthrace
The Bat Boat arrived in town yesterday. Well, not so much the Bat Boat as Earthrace, the carbon neutral and record-setting Kiwi boat that cut two weeks off the world record, to power round the planet in just under 61 days. A wonderfully innovative design with a superb Maori emblem adorning it, which I haven't done justice to here because I forgot to switch the camera from black and white to colour. There's a time for atmospheric photos, but this wasn't it. Visit the web link for better images.

They look like they're from a different planet, Paul. Australia day sounded great. Especially the the eating and drinking and living it up. These here winters are bloody too long! Karen and I, after looking at the beach pictures were listying the fors and againsts of joining you over there. we loved the place. Grandparents were the deciding factor - again. :(
Yep, it's a hard one, Gary, particularly when friends and family enter the equation. Tell you what: sell the film rights (but hold onto the merchandising/action figure rights) to one of your works and then spend the European summer over there and the Australian summer over here. Best of both worlds!
It's a done deal! All I need is the film rights sold and a starring role.
Now that's definitely a boat!
Happy trails.
Wow! That is one crazy looking boat. Hmmm..that's given me some ideas for my car.....
Less traffic, bigger lanes and few patrol cars -- way to go, Jane. Park it where you want.
