Putting together article for The View From Here at mo. Seem to find my groove for this about every 4 weeks. BTW, the excellent TVFH print edition now available in UK and Canada, as well as USA.
And so this post reads more like a twitter than a post, which is just as well as I've been pondering Twitter recently and whether it's something I want to be a part of or whether it'll just be something else that eats up valuable time. Any thoughts on Twittering anyone? Does it produce anything other than superficialities? What is its value? Help me out here.
And now this Twitter has a bit more to it, and so is beginning to resemble a blog post again!

I think this twitter thing, is probably stretching it for me. I can only just manage to find enough useless things to blog about! What about you? Bearing in mind you and I have writing deadlines to meet, can we afford the time?
Nope, I'm not going for it; I haven't got the time or the energy for something that for me would not be productive.
I think if you're semi famous and you wish to build a fan base then maybe it could be a useful tool. Other than that you have to have a lot of time on your hands and you have to question whether anyone really wants to know the banal details of your life. You have to be a natural comedian like Sy over at The Wheel is Turning to pull it off otherwise it's just dull!
Apparently Stephen Fry uses Twitter. I guess he's the perfct chap to follow but anybody else? I'm not so sure....
That's pretty much what I wanted to hear. Thanks. It's just that I'd heard that Barack Obama was twittering (although he has an aide to twitter on his behalf apparently) and a few other people seem to be trying it out. Cheers.
